Walking the floor at the Javits Center for the New York Restaurant Show, one thing was clear… the “Kitchen of the Future” is no longer a concept – it’s arriving, slowly but surely.

Here are our three biggest observations from the floor:
1. The Service Robot “Metro Divide”
There was a buzz around service robots for delivery and cleaning. But interestingly, the interest feels highly geographic. While NYC operators are eyeing robots to navigate high labor costs and tight urban spaces, the suburban and rural markets seem to be taking a “wait and see” approach. We’re seeing a lot of “interest,” but slow “implementation.” The service robot market seems like it will gain the most ground in urban metro areas rather than more suburban or rural areas.
2. Automation is Gaining Ground (But Staying Plugged In)
Automated fryers and food prep machines were in abundance. The industry is moving toward “set it and forget it” kitchen lines. However, most of these larger units are still relying on traditional electric power. The jump to fully untethered, battery-operated kitchen tech is coming, but for now, the heavy lifting is still happening near a wall outlet.
3. The “Black Box” Battery Problem
As we’re focused on the power side of things, we went in looking for specs. What we found was a “knowledge gap.” Most dealers know the robots run on lithium—typically 24V systems with a wide range of capacities (15Ah to 100Ah)—but that’s where the conversation ends.
The smaller systems are mostly internal “black box” batteries, while larger units are moving toward modular, swappable packs. There is a massive opportunity here for more education; the people selling the robots often don’t have the technical “why” behind the power systems that keep them running for 20-hour shifts.
One of the most persistent themes we heard from dealers was the need for reliable, plug-and-play power that doesn’t require a PhD to maintain. This is exactly where TWS Technology Mobile Power Solutions is positioning ourselves in the service robot and automation space- by redefining the “black box” battery with customized solutions and reliable system engineering, enabling service robots to evolve into dependable, 24/7 kitchen workhorses.
1. Tailored Battery Solutions

Optimized Design for ALL Applications
No “one size fits all.” TWS delivers fully customized systems—optimized in structure, cell chemistry (NCM, LFP, LTO, etc.), BMS, and connectivity (CAN, RS485, IoT, 4G)—to match each robot’s unique performance and operational needs.
2. Ultra-Performance Engineering

TWS 7 Ultra Technologies
Our 7 Ultra technologies ensure durability, safety, and intelligence:
- Ultra Intel: Full connectivity with real-time monitoring and cloud control
- Ultra Rugged: Shock, vibration, and corrosion resistant
- Ultra Seal: IP68 protection for harsh environments
- Ultra Temp: Stable operation from -40°C to 85°C
- Ultra Safety: Multi-layer protection with zero-fire design
- Ultra Fast: High-rate charging to minimize downtime
- Ultra Accuracy: <1.5% SoC error with AI-enhanced algorithms
3. Proven Global Capability
With automated pack manufacturing across China, Indonesia, and Thailand and 28+ years of expertise, TWS delivers high energy density, long cycle life, strong peak power, and low EMI systems, designed for maximum uptime in commercial environments.

The shift toward automation is inevitable, but as we saw in New York, the hardware is only as good as the power system behind it. By combining engineering expertise with rigorous testing and smart technology, TWS is helping move service robots from experimental gadgets to dependable, everyday kitchen tools.
TWS Technology Mobile Power Solutions powers reliability—turning service robots into true, everyday productivity tools.
